Most of the bed frames are photographed in their unrestored condition complete with cobwebs and dust, many are found in old lofts, attics and barns.. They are priced as fully restored in your choice of colour.. A custom made base can also be supplied, at a very reasonable price..

If you choose to have a bed restored .. The bed is firstly stripped of all the brass and then fully shot blasted back to bare metal. Then the bed frame is sprayed in a bare metal primer and any repair work is undertaken. Any badly damaged brass that is beyond repair is replaced with original parts if available, or solid brass reproduction parts
|
The bed frame is then finished in your choice of colour, in a hand painted finish. The brass is taken back by machine and then hand polished prior to being replaced on the bed frame. We restore our beds to a high standard, but always try not to over restore them and loose their character, individuality and the fact that they are an antique.. No thick powder coating or replacing every single brass part with new.. |
